From 2025 to date, IHA is co-chairing GBV and Child protection AoR workstream in Abyei Special Administrative Area (ASAA) as UNHCR co-chairs the general Protection cluster under the strong leadership of Ministry of Gender Child and Social welfare. The updated Referral pathways has resulted into: Improved Coordination and Collaboration: Enhanced communication and cooperation among different service providers, ensuring that cases are managed efficiently and effectively.
Timely and Appropriate Response: Faster referral processes enable victims and vulnerable populations to receive the necessary support and services without delays.
Increased Access to Services: Clearer pathways help individuals understand where and how to seek help, increasing their access to protection and support services.
Better Case Management: Streamlined procedures improve the tracking and follow-up of cases, ensuring accountability and quality of care.
Strengthened Protection System: An updated pathway contributes to a more robust protection framework, reducing gaps and overlaps in service delivery
Empowered Communities and Staff: Clear guidelines boost the confidence of service providers and communities in the protection system.
